Students in Early Childhood Studies go to the Mother/Baby wing of St. Alexis hospital to learn about labor and delivery as well as the role of nurses and doctors.

This course is designed for students interested in examining the broad spectrum of child development from birth to age five in preparation for the pre-school lab.
Real Care Babies
Early Childhood Studies students have the opportunity to bring home the Real Care Baby for a weekend to learn more about what it takes to care for an infant.

Receive hands on experience working with children in our on-site preschool lab.
*Early Childhood Studies is a prerequisite for taking this one semester class.
Advanced ECE
Students can work year-long in our on-site preschool lab with children ages 3-5 writing and executing lessons to the children in the preschool lab.
*This course can also be taken for college credit by completing additional work.

Careers in Education
Students enrolling in this class should have an interest in exploring careers in the field of Education, Counseling, Physical Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology.
Elementary Internship
Students are paired up with a teacher at a school within District 15 (Jane Adams, Lincoln, Virginia Lake, Lake Louise or Winston) or at Palatine High School and work hands on in the classroom on a daily basis.
High School Internship
